The Focus of the Blog

Hello, to all teachers, college professors, and anyone who takes interest in the subject of Education and Education Reform.  My name is Starvix Draxon.  A common issue that I take interest in is the subject of education.  Such is the reason this blog exists.  Many pressing concerns have reached my ear about education reform such as testing, accountability, college degrees, administration vs. Faculty, essential skills vs. intellectual theory, and the value of education as well as its purpose.  As someone who had never been in a public school until high school, I had never really understood or even heard of these issues.  Throughout out those four years, I witnessed horrific things, things that put education to shame.  As a witness, I seek now to provide insider information from an actual student's perspective on the matter, in hopes that may help change the way education is taught for the better of our nation and our culture. 

 

This is not a full academic piece that will provide proofs and evidence, although I will try to find some examples and testimonies, but rather a nonfiction piece, an argument based on my experiences and my own logic.  I feel that I must write about this stuff, because every time I try to see what other people think, I feel as if they look past some very key problems that are so obvious and solutions that are so simple, but are too blind because they war within two different factions: academia and Corporate America.  Therefore I write these posts as a duty to my country and to my favorite subjects and interests and the people in them. 

 

I think some of my thoughts are pretty straight forward and do not always represent everyone in everything.  Like I said, this is more of a nonfiction piece based on my experiences in school.  I hope you, the people of this nation, and other nations see these posts as helpful ideas and possible solutions that we can maybe even implement to improve our knowledge and become better people in this world.  Remember these are all from my point of view, but I think many of my ideas make logical sense.  Please join me as I write about various topics in education.
